Business Analyst / Systems Analyst

Responsibilities
This opportunity is for an business analyst (BA) / systems analyst to join and support a larger team with the Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Washington, D.C. The work is mostly remote; however, there are several meetings that will require the individual to be available on relatively short notice at the client site and several locations within the DC Metro area. The candidate must possess the ability to commute (on their own) to the client site in Washington, DC area frequently.
Duties include:
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Design/document systems and data process and architecture artifacts
- Provide analysis of existing systems
- Analyze and document business and technical requirements
- Research topics for the data and architecture teams
- Support the Project Manager to run Scrums and meetings
- Assist with assessment of current processes; provide recommendations for improvements; and, develop and implement changes
- Coordinate communications with multiple stakeholders
- Assist in reviewing existing policies, directives, and strategic plans and provide recommendations for updates as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 4+ years of experience
- Must be able to attain an USDA public trust
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Agile teams
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture and federal government standards a plus
- Strong ability to manage time and organize priorities within deadlines
